Educated as a Naval Architect (Dipl-Ing.) at Hamburg University of Technology Richard, started his carrer as a Vessel Performance Supervisor and Analyst at the A.P. Møller Maersk Group in 2012. In July 2014 he founded his engineering company Ideas & Engineering Marioth in Itzehoe, Germany through which he supported major ship operators with professional Vessel Performance consultancy. In July 2018 the company was renamed to Idealship GmbH.

Hauke studied mathematics, economics and politcal science at Kiel University. After finishing his studies he worked as a researcher in the field of convex geometry. In 2016 he got his PhD in mathematics. Before joining Idealship he gained experience in the financial and in the energy industry, always focused on getting the most out of the data.
